Safe Summer Celebrations!
Don't let hosting overwhelm you - with a few tips you can share your space and hospitality with your loved ones as we come back together this season. Check it out on Good Morning CT!
After months of separation, we are coming back together! Here’s how to do so safely with your guests’ comfort level and health in mind.
Individual Portions
Gone are the days of the communal chips and dip bowl! Put your guests mind at ease by preparing individual portions of appetizers and snacks so they may take one and walk away to enjoy away from a crowded table space.
Fruit and Veggies
Serve cut up fruit on skewer sticks.
Serve prepared dip in individual cups, each one with a selection of items to dip such as cut up veggie sticks and whole grain crackers.
Serve salads on individual plates.
One-time use cutlery
Limit the reuse of utensils
Stock up on plenty of one-time use utensils, plates, cups and napkins. Keep a large trash can located to dispose of used items as soon as each guest is finished.
Help the environment by recycling where possible and using items made from recycled ingredients.
Provide Labels
Encourage your guests to bring their own labeled water bottles and drinks and provide markers with labels to mark each guest’s beverage of choice.
Enjoy the outdoors
Eating outside where there is more room and plenty of fresh air allows for safe physical distancing with the opportunity to socialize and enjoy the company!
